Two-Thousand & Eight is over.

The last post of the year..
2008 seriously flew by!
but it was a great year :) for music, for media &
meeting so many amazing new people!
for this I am truly blessed.

The thing I'm the most proud of this year
is the drastic improvement in my photography!
last year I pretty much didn't have a clue on how
my DSLR camera worked haha!
Now I own all with it lol!

I'm leaving you with 2 photos...
1 is when I first bought my Nikon D40x back in Nov.2007
& the other photo is from may 2008 still a while back but
I started seeing a lot of improvement & creativity in my shots.

This photo (I you can even call it one..)
was taken back in mid Dec. 2007
it's of the band To Cherish, their vocalists
final show with the band. sad day :(
tons of things are wrong with this picture..
for starters, I didn't use a fast enough
shutter speed to freeze the action so
that's why they all came out blurry.

Fresh! - A Long Lasting Friendship.

The 2nd photo here was just a creative experiment. May 2008.
I added some props & made a little theme to it.
I also used a bit of photoshop & used a few lamps to light
the scene. Those few things I added can make a huge difference
in the quality of your pictures, along with exposure & composition!!

I'm starting off 2009, with this.. I NEED to get out & shoot more!
practice is 1 of the best ways to sharpen your skills & be an
overall better photographer.

I'm going to take a photo a day & post it in a album on facebook or
something.. everyday! & see how long I can last! haha.
I hope if 1 person is reading this that they had a Merry Christmas
& have a great New Year as well!
kiss kiss <3

Movie Makin'

On Wednesday & Thursday the super small film crew
& I finished a few more shots
for the feature film Under Currence.
We shot 1 day in Toronto & the other in Oshawa.

It was quite chilly & most of the shooting was outside that day.

this last shot taken by the camera operator Chris Wardle.

We were also massacred by pigeons!

Deck the Halls.

Last friday I went and saw some bands play
at a small cafe in Oshawa called Isabella's.
The Show raised $400 for the Refuge's
Turkey Dinner for those who are in need
this Christmas, awesome! the music that night was great,
but I came to see Bryanna Fretz! (Bia)
cuz she's amazing! here's some photos from that night.
check out her myspace as well!

Finally!

Well... I'm finally starting a blog & it's about time.
I've been meaning to do this while ago.
Christmas is coming quick..
a little too quick if you ask me, this whole year just flew by!
I can't believe that for that whole year
I never had a real job.. haha! but I get by...
I have tons of ideas in my head for 2009!
photography set ups, some short films in the works as well!
I'm finally wrapping up a low-budget feature film
this week with some dudes from film school.
It's shot on a RED Digital Cinema Camera (http://www.red.com/cameras/)
the footage looks spectacular! the movie is called
Under Currence,

it's an action film with cops, robbers & a fair
share of semi-automatic weapons!
I can sum the film up with a single photo I took!
